THE MAPLE TRAIL

The Maple Trail is something of a personal odyssey, a musical journey that has traversed the ravines of Sydney’s metropolitan limits and rearticulated itself across hundreds of hours of tape and performances.

In September 2007, Aidan and his consort of harmonium, accordion, saxophone released his debut EP New York, followed by his first full-length : Dirty Echo Spark

This ragged collection of electric-folk epics; joyous, at times elegiac bears an eclectic sounds. Aidan experimented with various forms of piano, mandolin, electric instruments, weird percussion and random household objects .

The Maple Trail went on to follow this up with the immediate release of a mini-album: Radio Twilight Lost a more reflective, solitary theme than their counter-parts on Dirty Echo Spark, revealing a spare and cryptic journey through the night of a Blue Mountains winter… and now available in limited edition vinyl!

The next step down the winding path of the Maple Trail brings us to Highwire, an EP featuring the lead track from forthcoming 3rd full length record and accompanied by three songs recorded late at night in Aidans city studio in Stanmore.
